Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment is a treatment for both adults and children for acute bacterial conjunctivitis. Bacterial Conjunctivitis is characterised by a redness and inflammation of the eye with the possible presence of a golden crust. The eye ointment should be used regularly for 7 days for the infection to clear.

For adults and children over the age of 2 years::
Place a small amount of Chloramphenicol 1% w/w Eye Ointment in affected eye 3-4 times a day for 5 days.
After 5 days, throw away any leftover ointment.
For topical administration to the eye.
