Description

Salactol Wart Paint is used for the treatment of warts, verruca, corns or calluses.

Warts often occur on the fingers or on the back of the hands. You can recognise the common wart by the rough ‘cauliflower-like’ appearance of the surface.

Salactol is great for verrucas. Verrucas occur only on the sole of the foot and are recognised by their tenderness and the interruption of the footprint pattern.

Salactol softens the skin growth, thus assisting the removal of the excessive skin with an emery board or pumice stone. Salactol wart paint 10ml also helps to kill the virus within the wart or verruca.

The two types of acid used in Salactol have been proven to work together to effectively treat and remove warts and verrucas.

Both Salicyclic Acid and Lactic acid are medicines called keratolytics. They work by breaking down keratin, a protein that forms part of the skin structure.

Directions for Use

For adults, children and the elderly. Salactol should be applied once daily, usually at night.

It can take up to twelve (12) weeks for resistant lesions to disappear, and it is necessary to persevere with the treatment.

1) Soak the affected site in warm water and pat dry.

2) Gently rub the surface of the wart, verruca, corn or callus with a pumice stone or manicure emery board to remove any hard skin.

3) Apply some Vaseline on the normal skin surrounding the affected site.

4) Using the applicator provided, carefully apply a few drops of Salactol to the lesion, allowing each drop to dry before applying the next one. Take care to localise the application to the affected area.

Plantar warts should be covered with an adhesive plaster. Leave for 24 hours. Repeat the procedure daily, after first removing any plaster.
